Join & Set Up

Before you unleash your riff, you need an account. Follow these steps to plug into the RIFF LIFE network.

Create Your Account

1. Click Login in the top navigation.
2. Choose Signup and enter a valid email address.
3. Set a strong password.
4. Look for the confirmation email titled Welcome to RIFF LIFE and validate your address.

Accounts are individual; if you share a household, make sure each shredder gets their own login so stats stay accurate.

Secure Your Login

• Never reuse your RIFF LIFE password elsewhere.
• Bookmark the official site (https://riff-life.com) and beware of impostor URLs.
• If you suspect someone else accessed your account, contact the admins immediately.

Build Your Profile

Once logged in, click your avatar in the header to access Account Settings.

• Avatar: Upload a square image or use your Facebook profile picture if connected.
• Bio: Share your Metallica story in the "About me" section so others know your vibe.
• Instrument Skills: Select the instruments you play to display them on your profile.
• Fifth Member: If you are a Met Club Fifth Member, you can link your email here.

Email Preferences

In the Email alerts section of your settings, you can choose how often you want to be notified about new riffs, likes, comments, and site news.
We recommend keeping comment alerts on so you can answer feedback fast.

Say Hello on the Flow

Introduce yourself with a quick post or comment on someone’s riff. The Flow is where friendships spark.

• Every interaction builds your reputation; stay active to be part of the family.
