Down, Down, Down!!!

Get ready to dive lower than hell...
Select your prefered Metallica Riff, and bring it down to the tune you'd love it to be!!



Lower than Hell!

Choose from all songs in any album, just have fun with what you like most, and make sure it can enter the 60-seconds-max duration.

Practice it on the instrument of your choice -play with the tuning to make sure you find your best version- as much as you need, to finally record yourself and post it before end of the enrollment period. Easy as that!

As usual, just make sure all below rules are respected, so you can run for the usual Met Club goodies prizes sent to the three winners (shipping fees are on the recipient).


The Timeline:

Here are the different stages of the contest:
  • Until May 4th, Preparation phase: Choose what to play, how to play it, and practice as much as you want.
  • From May 5th 'till May 25th, Enrollment phase: Record and submit your video to join the contest.
  • From May 26th 'till Jun 1st, Voting phase: Listen to other's videos and give medals to your very own "Top 3".
  • On Jun 2nd, Results time: Every participants' total scores are published, and rewards are shipped to the winners.




The Rules:

Rules to respect (any violation will reduce your votes by the specific rate):
  • Theme [-100%]: Play Metallica in a lower key than the original recorded version.
  • Backtrack [-50%]: Don't use a backtrack, we must hear you only.
  • On Time [-30%]: Enroll on time, respect the deadline.
  • Multi-track [-30%]: Play as a single-take, with no multi-track.
  • Duration [-25%]: Stay under 60 seconds.
  • Orientation [-15%]: Use 'landscape' mode, in your video, avoid the use of 'portait' one.
  • Visual "RIFF LIFE" [-10%]: "Riff Life" must appear visually all along your video in any form: hand-written paper, video watermark, or official T-shirt worn: it's up to you!
