The RIFF LIFE Concept
What is this?
"RIFF LIFE" is a community of Metallica fans who passionately play Metallica music using any instrument or even sing it. We embrace a family-like attitude and a positive environment where constructive feedback is encouraged to help everyone improve and enjoy what we love.
Some Vocabulary
Here are the two main terms you should know:
- Riffers: Members of the RIFF LIFE community.
- Riffs: Videos posted by Riffers of them playing or singing a Metallica song.
"Browse Riffs" pages
"By Albums" Page
The "Albums" page lists all Metallica albums and their songs. You can find links to see all "Riffs" posted for a complete album or for a specific song.
"Radio Mode" Page
The "Radio" page displays all "Riffs" posted by Riffers one after the other, in a random order. You still can skip or replay one if you wish, but you also can let it play, in the background...
"Flow Mode" Page
The "Flow" page displays all "Riffs" posted by Riffers in a scrollable visualization. It allows filtering by album or song to easily find the "Riffs" you want to see.
By Features
Browsing Riffs
You have several ways to watch "Riffs" based on your preferences:
- From the "Flow" page, you can see all posted Riffs.
- Using the "Albums" page, you can list selected Riffs.
- From the "Riffers" page, you can view Riffs from a specific Riffer.
Interact with Other Riffers
- Share your Riffs using the "Upload" page.
- Rate and comment on Riffs in the "Flow" page.
