Upload a Riff

Got a cover that's ready for the world? The Upload page is your gateway to the Flow. Here is how to get your Riff onto RIFF LIFE and share it with the family.

The Setup

  1. Go to the Upload page (make sure you are logged in).
  2. Select the Album: Pick the album the song is from. This helps organize the archive.
  3. Select the Song: Choose the specific track you are covering. This tags your Riff correctly so others can find it easily.

You have two ways to get your Riff on RIFF LIFE:

  • File Upload: Upload your Riff file directly from your computer or phone. We support standard formats like .mp4, .mov, etc. This is the preferred method for the best integration.
  • YouTube Link: Paste the link to your Riff hosted on YouTube.
    Important: Only YouTube links are supported. Vimeo links are no longer supported for new uploads.

Details

  • Title: Give it a name. Make it catchy! "Enter Sandman Solo" or "Master of Puppets Full Band Cover".
  • Description: Tell us about the recording. Did you use a specific pedal? Is this a tribute to a specific era? Share your story.

Visibility & Quiz Mode

  • Public vs. Private: Public Riffs are visible to everyone on the Flow. Private Riffs are for your eyes only (or members only).
  • "Only for quizzes": Toggle this ON if you want to use this clip for a custom quiz challenge.
    Critical: Quiz clips MUST be uploaded as files directly. You cannot use YouTube links for quiz questions (they reveal the title too easily!).
    These Riffs will remain hidden from the main Flow so you don't spoil the answer for the players.

Launch

Hit the button and wait for the upload to complete. Do not close the tab until you see the success message. Once it's done, your Riff is live and ready to be rated by the community!
